The first thing you should check is to make sure the throttle goes fully open when you have the pedal all the way to the floor. I am still not done tuning, as I have been hammering out other probelms, but even with some half assed stab in the dark settings, my drivabiliy has improved. I dont know if its because my ECU is older or what, but it takes a while to kick into open loop when you stab the throttle, so I get some NASTY lean outs in the first few moments of heavy acceleration. The Esc function is pretty good, not fool proof, but helps me out with my severe drivabiliy issues. I got it through URD, and I must say that Gadget has been very helpful, which should be a consideration when getting a system.

I am not super happy with the split second stuff, but as far as a piggyback goes, its the most stable and functional offering to meet my needs that I could find.

As for the PSC with the ESC function, that is EXACTLY what I went after, but as that is not a standard offering, it would have been over $300 and a long wait for it to be built, so I decided on the regular old FTC with ESC, cause then I can have timing control as well. also another thing i remember Gadget saying that the ESC1 can be built into the PSC1001 unit, is this true? and is anyone turbo'd out there running either units? inputs and thoughts please.Ĭlick to expand.I had a tough time deciding what to get as well. but i want the the air flow correction because my bov vents insteads of recirculate. The PSC1-001 has the map sensor with it but then i want to add the ESC1 to keep it in closed loop (thats what it does right?) i do have a laptop that i can tune with but no one really to help me tune. I only want to go with the Apexi because its easy to tune and i know a lot of turbo'd hondas running with them withpretty good results also the Deceleration Air Flow Correction to keep from stalling or backfiring when i shift (hks unit works pretty well but the feature comes on out of nowhere and the car wont go when i give it gas). i want to put in the 440 rc injectors in but dont know which route to go for fuel control. right now i have the HKS SAFR but it trips out a lot on me along with an FMU. for those that dont know, it a 99 2.4 with 02sensors, turbocharged running 8psi. I got some extra cash to retune my truck.
