After the trio of ghosts disappears, Vice Principal Grimes accuses the gang of pulling a prank, and suspends them. Two ghosts come and scare the kids into the pep rally where a third ghost appears telling everyone to leave. While an argument breaks out among them during detention, the lights begin to surge and flash, books begin to fly off the shelves, and computer screens explode. Because of the fight on the bus and the damage to the car, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Fred are all sentenced to detention, while Scooby remains tethered outside.

A fight breaks out on the bus, and as a result of the distraction, the driver crashes the bus into a flagpole, which falls on Vice Principal Grimes' car, smashing its windshield. Their cover is blown, however, when Scooby bites the ankle of the bully who constantly trips Shaggy. The next day, Shaggy tries to sneak the (clothed) Scooby onto the bus with him. Shaggy nicknames the dog "Scooby" and says he can stay at his house.

Two ghosts scare him away and he bursts into Shaggy's bedroom window. Meanwhile, after not being adopted at a pet adoption fair, the Great Dane Scoobert Doo accidentally falls out of a truck and wanders into a graveyard. Shaggy later has a talk with Principal Deedle about his lack of friends, and Deedle gives Shaggy a book on stamp collecting called philately (which the principal is obsessed with). The bus arrives at school, without any further interaction between the four. He is then introduced to Velma and finally Daphne.

On the bus going to Coolsville High, goofy, alienated teenager Shaggy encounters Fred after his bullying friend trips him down the aisle.
#DR FONE TOOLKIT HOW TO#
They show us how to stand up for yourself and others. They become resourceful, empathetic, and wise.
#DR FONE TOOLKIT SERIES#
However, as the series progresses, the characters transcend their one-word tropes. Following suit, we have the nerd, fashionista, and slacker. We have the leader of the gang, a capable and morally correct jock. Although we grew to love them through their antics, the characters are very predictable. The more lighthearted just enjoyed the misadventures of some very stereotypical teenagers.

The more philosophical saw it as a lesson in life that the real monsters are humans. Scooby-Doo meant a lot of things to a lot of different people. But to kids who are looking for role models, it’s important that characters are kind and loving. And yes, they’re cartoon characters and it’s not supposed to be that deep. Daphne’s parents are disapproving and Fred’s family falls apart before his eyes. While they are young, still in high school to be specific, they face a lot of serious issues. Daphne falls first but once Fred realizes his feelings, they are on the same page. They have a slow-build relationship by starting off as friends. Fred and Daphne are a couple for the ages.
